I believe my attributes as a leader, an exceptional student, a great teammate, and a strong work ethic will help me be successful as a college golfer. I have loved the game since an early age and I enjoy working hard every day with my teammates to make our team better. Academics are very important to me and I’m proud of my 3.96 GPA and membership in National Honor Society. As a three-sport athlete and Team Sportsmanship Awardee in each sport, I’ve grown as a leader and teammate during high school. I’ve learned discipline, mental toughness, and time management while playing three sports year round and excelling in the classroom.
I’ve had success in tournament golf and I'm proud of achieving all-league, all-district, and league player of the year runner-up awards. However, I know I’m still growing and progressing as a golfer. I increased my swing lessons this winter while also playing varsity basketball. Also, this spring will be the first season not playing baseball since I was 5 years old. This will give me the opportunity to play in several two and three-day tournaments every month until my high school season starts in the fall. I’m confident this tournament schedule in the spring and summer will help me improve my game and lower my scoring average. I look forward to the opportunity to compete in college golf and I thank you for taking interest in me as a student athlete in your program.
