Caleb Fairhurst '23 Recruiting Profile

I started golfing the summer before my Freshman year. Before that, baseball was all I knew.  In 8th grade I decided to step away from baseball. I quickly found the game of golf the summer before I started high school. I decided to try out for the high school team. Unexpectedly, I made the varsity team without having any experience whatsoever. I averaged 99 my freshman year and decided to start taking lessons.  My sophomore year I improved a lot more than I expected and averaged an 88. I decided to get serious about the game of golf and in my junior year averaged an 82, made first team league honors, and qualified for districts; also earning North East Ohio district honorable mention. In just three short years I have worked very hard and have shown tremendous improvement and continue to improve in the game of golf.  I look forward to continued growth as I compete in tournaments throughout the summer and into my Senior year. Outside of golf I have maintained a 3.96 GPA in school and have taken AP and CCP classes. I am also an active member in my schools Fellowship of Christian Athletes and in my church.
