Nicholas Mitchell '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nick Mitchell and I'm from Akron, Ohio. I have been playing golf since I was eight years old. I have only taken the game serious for four years now. I found the game challenging which is why I love it. I have grown up at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio and still belong there as a member. I love school and learning new things. Meeting new people and improving my game is what I strive for on an everyday basis. I look forward to improving on and off the course with my peers and also in school. 

I grew up dreaming of playing collegiate level golf. I want to have the chance to keep improving my skills everyday. I aspire to run my own business possibly on the golf side of things. I have played high school golf for four years now and played my senior year this past fall. I spend much of my time competing in state-wide and out of state tournaments. I also workout four days a week before school with a personal trainer that specializes in golf. Ball striking and short game is a strong aspect of my game. I love to meet new people and interact. I have a strong work ethic and am willing to try my very hardest to succeed on and off the course at wherever my golf game takes me.
