Hi, I am Connor VanSkyock. I really enjoy the sport of golf. I would like to continue to play on the college level even if it isn’t division one. I don’t need a scholarship, I just want the experience of playing a college sport. I am a two year varsity athlete. My freshman year our team won our conference and I was awarded rookie of the year. My sophomore year our team placed fourth in our conference and I was awarded most valuable player on my team. I was second place overall in our conference. I have been golfing for most of my life and I still continue to enjoy it. I would like to play on the college level so I can continue to grow in my love for the sport of golf.
I really started to enjoy golfing my eighth grade year. I was fortunate enough to play in some of the JV matches as an eighth grader. Through golf I have realized how much time and commitment it takes to become good at the sport. I also learned different ways to stay calm if something does not go my way. I was fortunate enough to play on a great team my freshman year. We won the conference and had a chance to move on to districts, but no one seemed to play well in sectionals.
