I live in a small town thirty minutes away from the nearest golf course. Living in a small town makes it difficult for me to play the higher level tournaments that are up to three hours away. I first came across golf about six years ago when my great uncle who played and lived in Alabama saw me swinging a plastic club in the yard. I have played the game ever since. This sport has taught me a lot of great things like sportsmanship, honesty, integrity, and work ethic. I work at Dornick Hills in Ardmore, OK so I am always around a golf environment. I believe that has benefited my golf game a lot and helped me grow as a person. I know a lot about the technical aspects of golf and I have a high golf IQ.
What I believe sets me apart from other athletes is my character and my academics. My family will accept nothing but the best grades in school. I am studying to improve my ACT score and to prepare myself for the SAT that I plan on taking my Senior year. My preffered field of study is Pre-Dentistry, or something similar, then hopefully Dental School. I have now reached the next level and I will continue to improve myself mentally, physically, and on the golf course. Playing college golf has been a dream of mine since I picked up a club, and now since that goal has been achieved I believe I can become better than ever.
