Hi Coach.
My name is Cayden Kwan and I am a Canadian junior golf player interested in opportunities at your school for fall 2023.
My current handicap is 0.4. I would describe my game as an aggressive player on the tee but I feel the strongest part of my game is my iron play within 170 yards and being a pin hunter from 140 yards.
My passion for sports began at a very young age and I started playing golf, hockey and baseball since I was five years old. Through playing hockey and baseball at the AAA and AA levels for ten years, I have developed a great work ethic, strong leadership skills and understand the discipline required for continual development. Ultimately, golf is my first love and where I decided to dedicate my focus.
In the classroom, I take the same disciplined approach to maintain high grades and do whatever I can to succeed in class. I appreciate the opportunities I have been given and have returned for the past three years to help out as an assistant coach for my elementary school's volleyball team.
In addition to a school with a competitive golf program, more importantly, I am interested in attending a college with a strong focus on business management, marketing, and entrepreneurship studies.
Competition is an aspect of sports I really enjoy. Playing college golf would be a dream come true and help meet my goal to further my competitive golf career. I would like to find a school with a competitive golf program coupled with a strong academic focus in business management.
