Personal Statement

I have always been a golfer having grown up in a golfing family and having played competitive golf since I was eleven. Golf is a deep-rooted part of who I am and comes naturally, but to compete at a high level requires discipline, focus and hard work. I attribute my success to setting goals and then doing what it takes to achieve those goals; like making my high school varsity team as a freshman. Golf isn’t always easy, and I have learned to work a little harder, or put in the extra time when things aren’t going my way – I’m a grinder and I don’t back down.

I enjoy the individual nature of competitive golf, but I have also loved the team atmosphere of high school golf and look forward to playing on a college team. To be part of the team, to assume a leadership role when needed, and to mentor younger players or help others as we all work together to win is a thrill. I am driven to play golf in college, but I also want to thrive in a strong academic program, which is why I’m set on keeping my GPA at a 3.5 or higher. I want to have an impact and to make a difference and I will continue to work hard and do whatever it takes.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
