Personal Statement

My name is Nathan Guerrini. I am 17 years old and I am a junior at Perkiomen Valley High School. I live in Collegeville, PA with my parents. I have been playing competitive golf since I was 4 years old through the Philadelphia U.S. Kids Golf Program, the KO Junior tour (a local tour), and the Philadelphia Junior PGA Tour. My home course is Spring Ford Country Club, which is one of the toughest courses in my area. I spent my summer working hard at my game, improving my swing and shaving strokes by spending hours on the putting green.

I am currently the captain of the Boys Varsity Golf Team at Perkiomen Valley High School. I led my team with an average of 38.0, with 3 rounds at par or better. I finished T-5 out of 80 people with a score of 78 at PAC-10 Individuals and T-9 at the District I Boys Golf Championship with a 2 day total of 150 (76-74). At the PIAA East Regional Championship, where the top 50 golfers in Pennsylvania play for a spot in the PIAA State Championships.I shot 85, which ended my season. Although I was disappointed on not making it to the state championship, it was a great experience playing and I hope to use that experience to my advantage next year if I make it to regionals again.

My plan is to continue playing strong into my senior year of high school. I hope to make it to the PIAA State Championships, and place in the top 20 next year. My goal is to play competitive golf throughout the summer and I hope to tune my swing for the start of the 2015-2016 high school golf season.
