Only four short years ago, I would not have thought I would be working towards the goal of playing golf in college. I recognize that compared to others, I may appear to have come into this sport "late". However, in this short time, I've demonstrated my ability to work consistently and diligently towards a goal. My disposition and determination have shown that I am highly coachable and a positive example of what hard work can accomplish. On my high school team, I've risen up quickly as both a competitive scorer and a leader who supports and motivates other players on the team. In my senior year, I had the honor of serving as the team captain. At many of our matches, I earn medalist honors among my peers. Some might think that golf is an individual sport, but as a teammate, I've learned that nothing in life is done alone. Being a part of something more than myself is important to me. None of us can thrive in isolation. As a recruit to a new team, I would bring this mindset, a collaborative spirit, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to a sport that is making me a better young man. At the same time, I remain balanced and motivated in my commitment to my academics as I work towards a successful future.
