Committed to Millersville University
I am a golfer of two years and am looking to continue playing at the college level. This past year, with little experience, I made it to the PIAA State Championship. It was very hard starting out two years ago being so far behind everyone else. I had to work hard to get better quickly, but that experience made me a better person. It taught me how to work hard at something over a long period of time, how to handle myself in pressure filled environments and how to overcome challenges. Golf is hard and things don’t always go my way even when I’m doing everything right, which is a lot like life. But golf has taught me to keep going, keep trying because I am still out there on the course and I have to find something to get me through the round. Golf has taught me how to persevere through life.
I want to study the area of Media Production. I have 2 years of experience with live and video productions during my time in an Advanced Video Journalism class at Spring Grove High School. I have commentated football games. Worked with live football and wrestling events. I have experience in setting up and tearing down equipment, using Adobe Premiere Pro, using a TriCaster, soundboard, teleprompter, and other camera equipment.
I am eager to learn and grow and I cannot wait to do so through great professors, a great program, and great coaches.
