I started playing golf when I was 5 years old when my dad used to take me to the course with him. When I was 10 years old I started to play in a local junior league (Franklin County Junior Golf). I fell in love with the game and I have been hooked since. I started to become successful in the local league so my Mom and Dad signed me up for something a little more competitive (Mid Atlantic Junior League). The summer of my Freshman year of high school I started to play some Hurricane Junior events to prepare for competition. As a freshman I qualified for Mid Penn's and I made it to Districts. As a Sophomore I finished Tied for 3rd in Mid Penn's with a round of 73, Tied for 4th in the district with scores of 70 and 76, This qualified me for Regionals. I shot 79 at Regionals and missed the cut to States by 2 strokes. As a Junior I finished 2nd in Mid Penn's with a round of 71, tied for 4th Districts with scores 74 and 74. At Regionals I shot 72 and finished tied for 7th, and at States I shot 75/74 Tied for 10th.
My plans going forward are to set goals to better my game and class work. This will help guide my future so I can attend college and play golf. I will continue with the Hurricane events in the spring/summer to get me ready for my senior year, and to build my portfolio.
In my spare time I like to help my grandfather on his farm. I also love being outside fishing and skiing in the winter with my friends and family. I also went on a mission trip with my youth group last summer to Puerto Rico and enjoyed that and would love to go back again some day.
