Being around the sport of golf has been a major part of my life. My passion of golf started when I was very young, and has led to a dream of playing at the collegiate level. As a toddler, my family lived on a golf course and I spent many hours watching people play out of my back window. Since the age of two, I have spent countless hours on the course. Golf is a game of discipline, patience, resilience and confidence. When I go out and play, I remember why I love the game.
Prior to high school, golf has been individual. Since joining the high school team, I have enjoyed not only being a teammate but a team captain as well. Being on a team gives you the opportunity to encourage one another and learn how to work together to be successful.
I am extremely hardworking and disciplined when it comes to the game of golf. I tend to put in practice six days a week, which includes playing in local tournaments, tours such as AJGA and BJGT, and working out in the off-season.
When it comes to academics, I am very conscientious of my schoolwork and grades. I currently hold a GPA of 4.1, and am currently completing a summer course to get ahead on credits. I am a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and an active member of Otterbein Church Youth.
I hope to find a college that will push me academically and athletically. I would like to major in business, and I feel that my experiences in high school with taking a rigorous course load while playing a sport has prepared me to be successful in college.
