My name is Derek Freeman. I am a high school sophomore, an A average student, a third degree black belt in karate, and a two year varsity golfer. I actually didn't start off playing golf. About four years ago I switched sports from baseball to golf. I chose golf, because of the competitive nature of the sport and the challenge of always improving to become the best. The last two years I have played in a competitive league at Briarwood Golf Club and last year participated in the York County Junior Golf Association. This summer I will be playing both of those again plus several events on the AJGA Buckeye Tour, to advance my skills in an even more competitive environment. I am excited to see how my game progresses as I work even harder to achieve my goal of playing collegiate golf for the 2025-2026 college season.
