Personal Statement

I picked up my first golf club when I was about 2 years old. It was something that just came natural to me. I've had dreams my whole life growing up of me winning the Masters, the Open, and the U.S. Open and setting records. To me, it’s more than just making it on tour...to me; it’s being the best in the world one day. My whole life I've always been taught to be selfless and to be a leader. Although the game of golf is an individual sport, I still keep in mind that I am part of a team.  My determination and drive to succeed is strong.  I feel like I can be an integral part of a college team to lead, to teach and help to bring the team to victories.  I have a proven track record and I know I would be an asset to a college team.  I have always been told I am a "Natural" because I really haven't had any coach or instruction until a couple of weeks ago on a personal coaching level.  However, I am very coachable!
There was a time in Middle school where all I cared about was winning so I could go to the top D1 School.  I still have that dream and passion.  Golf is much more than that to me and my personal goals.  The older and more mature I have become, I have realized I have a talent and it does not matter what college that I attend (whether it is D1, D2, D3 or NAIA), what matters is at the end of the day my score speaks for itself and I am at a place where I belong.  From where I stand today, I am proud of how far I have come.  The dream I have of mine is only looking more and more like a reality.  I know in my heart I can make it and the man upstairs may he help keep guiding me.  I want it so bad so I am going to get it.
I want to choose a school that I will earn a degree in Engineering or Business.  My goal is to be on the PGA Tour one day but I know I must receive an education first and be a Student-Athlete.  I will dedicate myself to the team and to my studies so I can see a bright future ahead of me....nothing will stop me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
