Personal Statement

My goal is always to overachieve and consistently improve on the course and in academics, and I am proving that by the following list of highlights.

  1. Spent eight years living in two foreign countries where I learned to play golf even though there was a language barrier;
  2. In 2016 my family moved back from overseas to Montgomery, Texas where I began competitive golf;
  3. I won numerous junior tournaments;
  4. Made varsity as a freshman;
  5. Became #1 ranked golfer on Montgomery TX High School Golf Team as a freshman;
  6. During the first semester of my sophomore year I shot the two lowest tournament rounds (71, 72) for my team;
  7. In December 2020 I won an STPGA Prestige Tour event in Kingwood, Texas.
  8. -I won two TJGT Tournaments in 2021.
    -In my 2nd AJGA Tournament, I won it by 7 strokes, and set a record for lowest 3 day score in tournament history (67-66-66) at -17.
  9. My experience abroad helped me appreciate opportunities, friendships and the many quality golf courses in the USA.  I am a loyal friend and teammate, I lead by example, have a strong work ethic and seek consistency in everything.

In the coming years I look forward to showing you more goals accomplished, more wins, team championships and an overall complete student athlete you will want on your team.

Barnard lofted his third shot from the fairway on the par-five 18th at The Golf Club of Margaritaville Lake Resort. It bounced. It back-spun. It went in the hole. Eagle. The crowd around the green erupted, Barnard pumped his fist. Bullard, TX | May 1-2, 2021] Chandler freshman Sydney Robertson and Montgomery sophomore Dillon Barnard became the latest to add their names to the long list of champions at the annual Tyler Rose event this past weekend by firing rounds in the low 70s each day to cruise to victories at Eagle’s Bluff Country Club. Robertson, who won the 2020 event in August, defended her title to the tune of a 5-shot victory (71-73=144) over Seabrook’s Amelia Guo and Paragould, Ark., Madison Holmes. Robertson was 2-over-par for the tournament, despite going 4-over in her last 3 holes in the final round. She lead wire-to-wire after shooting an even-par 71 on Day 1, and came out of the gates fast in the Round 2, making 3 birdies on the front 9. In the boys division, Barnard started the final round 1 stroke off the lead of Tyler’s Griffin Jones, but carded birdies on No. 1 and No. 6 to take the lead heading into the back 9, and essentially put the tournament away with back-to-back-birdies on No. 11 and No. 12. Tyler sophomore Jacob Cole finished in solo second, with Southlake’s Neel Sandhu and Fort Worth’s Trip Stroube tying for third, and Frisco’s Noah Hankinson finishing tied for fifth with Jones.
