Hello coaches my name is Elijah Turner and I am very excited about having the opportunity to play college golf. I look forward to being a teammate and trying to help my team reach their potential on and off the golf course. I've been fortunate to live in an area where a lot of my friends play golf and we attend the same High School together. Over the past couple years we have won State back to back and it is just awesome to be a part of a team. Golf for the most part is an individual sport but there is just something special to me about playing with my friends and teammates with the same desire to win. I play competitive hockey on a travel team and my teams over the years has been fortunate to make it to USA Hockey's National Championships, which has been a great experience. I know hockey has little to do with my golf ability but switching up sports and playing on a competitive team with great coaches who push me to be better will help me be a better teammate on a college golf team. I look forward to attending college not only to play a sport but to gain an education. I'm a good student and plan to study Business Management and get my degree and if professional golf is in my future that will be great and if not I'll have my education to fall back on. Coaches I really look forward to improving my game over the next couple years and make sure I can make an impact for a college team.
