My name is Zach. I was born in Las Vegas Nv, and my family relocated to Utah in 2005. I have always loved playing sports. I played basketball and baseball until a neighbor took me to play my first round of golf when I was 13 years old. My parents have struggled financially since our move to Utah due to job changes but they have supported me playing golf because they saw that I was dedicated and my game improved quickly. I have played with the Utah Junior Golf Association since 2007 winning multiple tournaments placing in several. I have only had a few private lessons but have practiced a lot and studied the game in order to improve. The past three years I have been lucky to play on the Lone Peak High School golf team, we have been 1st or 2nd at the state 5A tournament the last four years. This year I made second team all-state. I have enjoyed learning from my coaches and teammates and making new friendships. I have also held a part time job on top of golf practice and going to school in order to help pay for golf fees, equipment etc. Working has taught me to appreciate what I have and how to be a better communicator. My goal is to graduate from college. My mom is a Hairstylist and my dad works for the Post Office, and neither of them or their parents graduated from college. I come from a hard working family and they have taught me that anything you do in life turns out better if you try your best and work hard. I am passionate about golf. I will play for the rest of my life. I am undecided on a major, but I would possibly like to study business, and marketing. I want to continue to improve my personal game and contribute to a team while furthering my education.
