My greatest achievement so far over my high school years has to be as a freshman I qualified to play in our state tournament. There I shot the two best scores I had shot at the time. Where I grew the most as a person was my junior year. This was a time where I got in my head too much and I didn't qualify to play with my team for our state tournament. This has lead me to be more calm in my game and I believe will lead me to more success. My goals as I am soon to graduate high school is to progress as much as I can in the classroom and on the course.
My junior year so far has been the hardest year for golf and school. I lost my only grandmother which made me lose a lot of motivation for school as I seen her everyday and she was my biggest fan. I missed a fair amount of school due to sickness and having surgery to remove my tonsils. Now as I recover from both of these obstacles, I've discovered a better side of me and i'm now motivated more than ever to work hard as a student-athlete to be the best I can be. I have been one of the leaders on my team for the past two years. I have helped my team be more responsible, respectful, and helping to everyone around us. I feel I can be a great aspect for your team.
