My name is Jonathan Zou and I am a Junior (Class of 2020) at McLean High School (MHS) in Northern Virginia. I am 5 ft 6 inches tall and 120 pounds. I have a 4.11 cumulative GPA, 4.16 core GPA, and scored a 33 on my ACT in my sophomore year. My personal best accomplishments are shooting 69-75 to finish 2nd in the region and being named First Team All-Region in 2018, First Team All-Conference in 2016-2018, and MHS Varsity Golf Team MVP in 2017-2018. As a junior, I was named the team captain, led the team to a 4-1 season record, and the team advanced to Regionals for the first time in 12 years. As a freshman, I was also a significant contributor of our team winning the 2016 Atomic Classic tournament. I bring a lot of positive traits to the team as I am a hard worker and have a great desire to compete. This summer, partnering with the First Tee, I volunteered in a multicultural summer program to teach children about golf and core values. I am open to attending an institution with an outstanding academic reputation and a strong golf program. I am looking to study science, mathematics, business, or economics in college. I hope to be able to play and eventually one day lead the school team.
