Personal Statement
I competed on the JV team as an 8th grader and have been in the top 4 on our team since my freshman year. This season I will be the 1 seed on our team according to my coach. Last year I competed on the Blue Ridge Junior Golf Tour and finished 5th due to missing the Tour Championship for family emergency out of the country. I am currently working with a golf pro right now; Euggie Jones. I have already taken college credit classes and I have my class schedule filled with college and AP classes this year as well. I am carrying an 4.325 GPA and I am 4th in my class. I have won various awards throughout high school along with completing my foreign language classes already. I have volunteered at the Bread of Life Food Pantry. I am hoping to major in sport management and carry that over into the golf world. I also have interest in a career in the golf world. I am also now a member of the Phi Theta Kappa fraternity which is for academic excellence. Recently, I was selected as the student representative for Smyth County in the school boards concussion team meetings.

- I finished the tours regular season in 6h place overall. 1 point away from 5th. I could not participate in the championship due to a death in the family. My points were still high enough to allow me to finish in hte top 10 overall. My scores were higher than my High School average due to the difficulty of courses we played. I played The Pete Dye River Course at Virginia Tech, The Greenbrier, and other challenging courses. Although scores were higher than I like I gained a lot of valuable experience. I learned how to better handle difficult situations on the course, how to manage the course and my game better over 18 holes. I feel the experience I gained in these situations on the courses we played will benefit me much more as I continue through school.
