September 2019Personal Statement
I have grown up in a big, Navy family. With my dad being in the Navy I have been blessed to learn great discipline. Also being in a big family has taught me leadership skills. I have been playing competitive golf for three years and I think that I have the skills, determination, and discipline to make it on any college team.
Growing from an ok player, shooting in the high 80’s/90’s, to becoming someone who consistently hits in the low 70’s in the span of one winter as a junior was definitely my best accomplishment. I love to compete. So much so I hate losing. That desire to win has pushed me to work hard day in day out in all that I do. Something I think sets me apart is that I spend time practicing the mental side of my game because I hate losing to my worst enemy, myself.

- I shot 81 and 86 on days that I left too many putts on the table. A very good showing on a tough course. I placed 8th out of 20 in the senior division.

- I shot a winning score of 34 on a par 32 in my age group. After starting out with three opening bogeys I bounced back to charge into first with two consecutive birdies and held on to the lead

- After qualifying for this season long championship I had a rough show in this 36 hole tournament. My score was 162 tied for 14th out of 21 players.
