I have had aspirations of attending college and playing collegiate golf since I was 5 years old. My dad is my greatest inspiration and he was a scholarship tennis player at the University of Washington. He has told me stories about his experiences on the team and how that time was one of the best in his life. He is also an avid golfer along with my younger sister Gigi and younger brother Oly. Our family spends hours together on the golf course and we have shared our happiest moments on the course.
I have dedicated my high school time to both my academics and my golf game. I have played the number one position on my golf team since my Freshman year and was named First Team All Kingco both Freshman and Sophomore year. I currently have a 3.9-grade point and was voted by my teachers two years in a row for the Humanitarian award and Integrity award. This is an extremely prestigious award that was a huge honor to receive.
I love the game of golf. I practice at our home course Tamo'Shanter every day rain or shine. I spend hours on the course and on the range. I played in many tournaments this summer including WJGA, AJGA, FCG, and Rocky Mountain events to name a few. I am an active person, I work out 5 days a week at Golfletica (which is golf-specific workout that includes other players from across the state of Washington). These past few months I have been online doing these virtual workouts with many other fellow golf friends during Covid. I have been doing online prep for the SAT/ACT and have been engaged in my online learning during Covid.
I look forward to continuing my education and golf career in college. I talk about my goals daily with my family and my desire to improve my golf game and make my education a top priority. I am a highly motivated person who strives to be my best at all times. I have a positive attitude in life and in golf. When tournaments don't go my way, I get back out and practice to strive to be better. Golf is my passion, I love this sport and will always give my 100 percent to the program that I will have the honor to be in. I look forward to the next phase of my life and know it will be as rewarding as my dad describes. I cannot wait!!!
