Life for me has always been sports; Even if that meant begging my dad to let me stay up to watch the Super Bowl, or getting to go to the 2017 Men's US open, and even the 2021 Ryder Cup. At age 3 my grandpa and dad took me golfing and both of them just watched in amazement of the natural swing I apparently had and with that meant I got to golf every fathers day with them and other than that one time per year I did not golf. After suffering a major shoulder injury during my sophomore football season, My physical trainer said out of the blue that golf is an excellent recovery hobby. My grandpa looked at me and laughed and smiled for the rest of the day but, I really wasn’t too happy. The only reason I paid attention to golf was because my brother at the time was playing in the semi finals of the WIAA Golf State tournament. But I fell under the pure pressure and truly gave golf a shot. Since the moment I stepped foot on the 1st Tee box at silver spring golf course as I pure my brothers 5 Iron; I have loved golf. But because of the way golf is, I also snapped my brother's 7 iron out of anger that same round, in which I had to pay for which also made me realize how expensive golf is. But that didn’t stop me. With the help of my brother’s lessons, his teammates, a golf coach, and a therapist, golf has become a sport I can compete pretty highley at.
One time in my life I was a 4 sport athlete but all of those felt like I was just going through the motions. There is nothing more physically and mentally challenging than golf. I truly love that; The constant ups and downs is what keeps me involved and addicted to this wonderful game. I strive for greatness in the classroom just as much on the golf course. With the help of my wonderful parents, God, and especially my older brother. I’ve had an insane amount of opportunities to become the best man I can be. Playing a sport in college has always been a dream of mine, and how it is a reality. I will continue to thrive in the classroom and the golf course at the collegiate level. My resume and transcript is an excellent referral to how my leadership and responsibilities have and will continue to be contributed.
