Personal Statement

Collegiate goals and aspirations: I have not decided upon a major at this point however, I am leaning towards sport related/Physio Therapy.

Attending a great college will allow me to develop and expand my social and personal skills. I feel that having an opportunity to move away from home, to a different city and country will be challenging, healthy and exciting. The opportunity to meet new friends and build new relationships, both personally and professionally is also important.

What makes you a good candidate for their team? I would be a great candidate for any interested college's hockey program because first and foremost, I love the game of hockey. I am active in hockey for almost 12 months a year, between training, school and rep team practice and play. This current season I am playing at the Junior level.

On a personal level I will bring to my team a strong and dedicated work ethic, I pride myself on not taking any practices or shifts off and I do not take short cuts. They say you play how you practice so I make sure I practice as hard as I can. I feel that my best attributes are some of the most important attributes in the game for a defenceman...skating and physical play. I am also known to be a complete team player and strive to be a positive influence and the best possible teammate on and off of the ice.

I also pride myself in sharing the same views in respect to the classroom and my grades. I am proud that I have been an "Honors" and "Honor with Distinction" student over the last five years.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
