Hello,
My name is Ty Sauer and I am a 2005 born player from Beaumont, AB. I started playing hockey at a young age and developed a love for the game early on. When I’m on the ice I push myself to improve and work on my skills day in and day out. I have worked hard to build my game around my strengths. My biggest asset on the ice is my speed. I push myself to be first to the puck and win any of the 50/50 puck races.
Another strong asset I have developed over the last few years is a high hockey IQ. Working with great coaches has helped me to develop a strong work ethic and a drive to succeed. An aspect that has improved my game is attention to detail.
During the last several seasons I have taken on leadership roles & leading by example to show others what it takes to play at the AAA level as a first year player. With a strong competitive nature I always want to win, regardless of the stakes – everything is a competition. If you beat me once I’m not going to let you beat me again. This applies to both my game and life, in general.
Outside of hockey I have taken part in many school sports & successful extracurricular teams. In the last two years our track team has won two banners for École J.E. Lapointe School. I played competitive badminton for our school winning the district championship for boys singles this last season.
Hockey has taught me important life lessons that have helped me outside of sports. At school I apply the same ethic as I do in hockey. I push myself to achieve good grades and treat my teachers with the same respect as I would the coaches. Since elementary school I have maintained an above honours grade point average. Going into my first year of high school I intend to keep this standard.
This past year I played for the Leduc Bantam AAA Oil Kings. I was honoured to be chosen as an Assistant Captain and helped lead the team to the second round of playoffs. I’m now starting my first year of Midget hockey (U16) and I’m ready for any challenges or opportunities that may lie ahead.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile!
