Since I first stepped on the ice when I was just about 6 years old, I have loved playing hockey. The friendships I have made through my years of hockey will last my lifetime. But it is my love of hockey that has made me want to continue playing Juniors and then college. Over the years, I have worked tirelessly to get better at all aspects of my game, and love attending clinics, camps and tournaments in the off-season to also help push me, challenge me and make me better.
I also work extremely hard in the classroom to achieve and keep good grades and a high GPA, which I know is a must for college. My sister was just accepted into the Honors College at Northern Arizona University, and her hard work and dedication in achieving that tremendous feat is an inspiration to me, and is also a testament as to what can result from hard work and perseverance. It is this hard work that pushes me both in the classroom and on the ice.
I strive to be a team leader, and work to push my teammates to be the best hockey players they can be. I also enjoy volunteering with younger teams and working with the goalies who are coming up in our association.
My goal is to play on a Juniors team that will allow me the chance to develop, grow and become the best player I can become for a college program where I can continue to grow while working as hard as possible for my teammates. The ideal college program will allow me to focus both on my studies and my hockey career, and will be supportive of both. As I am now in the last semester of my Senior year at Coconino High School (while completing my schooling through the MDLP online program while I am in Hudson, NH, playing with the Northern Cyclones Academy) I am open to everything that potentially awaits me. I remain optimistic that I will be able to find the right Junior and college programs that will challenge me, and will allow me to play at the highest level of hockey.
