Hello my name Lukas Kirschner, I am 15 years old and I am currently playing AAA hockey for the U17 Thompson Blazers. The Thompson Blazers play within the BCEHL and is composed with 9 other teams from within our province. As a hockey player I take great deal of pride in leading by example with leadership, work ethic, skills development, and team building. My long term hockey goals continue to revolve around growth with my hockey knowledge and IQ, my skills development, and commitment to my training to get more explosive, faster, and stronger on the ice. I'm very loyal to my coaches and my teammates and I always define success by a team first approach.
The same qualities that I work hard to demonstrate on the ice, I also do the same in the class room. I am currently an Honor Role student at my high school as I enter my grade 10 year. I enjoy all of my academic courses with a long term goal to study business at the university level.
It is important to me as a student-athlete to be very organized so I can find a balance to spend time with family and friends, school work, and my hockey commitments. For me, education and hockey are not just hobbies, they are passions of mine that I enjoy doing and would love to do together at the university level, both in the classroom with my studies, but also on the ice competing as an NCAA hockey player. I truly believe that with my continued dedication and hard work both in the classroom and on the ice, I will have the necessary knowledge and skills necessary to study and compete at the NCAA level.
Thanks for your time and consideration,
Lukas Kirschner
