Introduction
My name is Dylan. My goals for hockey are to play as high up as possible and earn great schooling. I believe college hockey is my start. My life goal outside of hockey is business marketing and entrepreneurship which would be the field of choice. I have been playing hockey for about 12-13 years of my life. I grew up in Smithers, BC playing as a kid and having fun. I moved to Prince George, BC around 2012 where I was able to pickup more hockey and receive further coaching and playing opportunity.
Previous/Current Seasons
I started playing tier hockey around the age of 15 (2021) which was a bit behind my peers. My first year trying for hockey outside of house I made a pre season roster for the U18AA team. I ended up AP'ing that year and played U18A where I was able to truly start progressing. The following year the U18AA team folded and I attended Junior camps in the KIJHL and BCHL where I ended up playing pre-season with the 100 Mile Wranglers (Jr. B). I returned home to play in my town for the following season. As of summer 2023 I have attended 3 Junior camps and 2 showcases (Global Hockey Showcase and Lakeland Super Showcase) where I was invited back to all 3 main junior camps and played in the "2023 CCM Dr. Evil Memorial All Star Game"
Why I make a good fit
As a player I'm continuously finding time to hit the ice. I know that by starting late I need to work that much harder to catch up and set myself apart from others in new ways people haven't seen before. The type of player who stays on the ice after practice stick handling and skating around until the zamboni driver tells me to get off. Constantly requesting feedback on how to better myself as an individual player as well as a team player. Strengths include:
How I'm different
Apart from the above listed qualities and traits, I see myself different by character. Winning means a lot but upon losing I take what we did wrong into account. At times I sit in the locker room following practice or a game at home and think how I could've made a different play or what errors I made as to correct them for my teammates next game to not let them down. Always try to be as positive as possible in given situations and attempt to help out teammates who struggle to do so during games so they can play their best game as-well.
