Elijah Rico '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am Elijah Rico and I have been playing hockey since I was five years old. Ever since I stepped on that ice for the first time, I immediately fell in love with the sport. my goal is to play college hockey and maybe even go to the NHL with enough hard work. I know it won't be easy, but I am up to the challenge.  I can be a team leader and step into the leadership spot when my team needs it most. I may not be the tallest or I may not be able to be the top scorer, but I am great at giving tape-to-tape passes and have good speed. I strive to improve and get better, I am also very coachable. I am a fast learner and I strive to do my best. I currently play Junior Varsity team for the Kern County Knights as an alternate captain. I'm not just a hockey player but I'm also a multi-athlete as I do four sports a year (track, wrestling, baseball, and hockey), on top of all of that I am keeping up a 4.0 unweighted GPA. I am also focused in the classroom and I am prepared to put in the extra work.
