Cody Davis '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Cody Davis, and I am a Newbury Park High School sophomore. Currently, I play for the Ventura County Poseidon and next season I plan to double roster with the Poseidon and Simi Valley Mariners 16UAA. I am a great leader on and off the ice and have excellent relationships with all my teammates. I work hard to improve and know there is always room for improvement. My play style is more of a playmaker but I am not afraid to stand in front of the goalie for screens or tips. I play a 200 ft game and I am very coachable. I have adapted my play style many times based on the competition and will always put the team winning over my personal stats. Academically, I take rigorous courses and excel in them alongside being an athlete.  Where I play is not an issue for me and character-wise I am competitive and always want to win. I understand that in hockey, one of the keys to winning is who wants it more, and with me, that is never a question.
