Pierce Marchant '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my full name is Thomas "Pierce" Marchant,

I have always been encouraged to play life long sports. My parents provided opportunities for me, my brother, and my sister to try any and all sports that we could. At the age of twelve, I decided to focus on the sport of hockey. My desire is to play competitive hockey at a college level while studying and successfully completing a bachelors degree in Business Administration.

I started playing hockey when I was four years old. Over the last ten years the sport of hockey has taught me several things. I have learned to be patient and persistent. I have had the opportunity to lead other players on my team, both on and off the ice. I try to play with a level head and avoid acting out of frustration when the game does not go exactly as planned. I have learned that the team thrives when we play as a unit, and not as individuals standing out and playing selfish hockey. I enjoy leaving it all out there on the ice, and I celebrate playing as a member of a team just as much as when I score a goal or provide the assist.
