Hi my name is Christian Becerra and I've been playing hockey since I was 4 years old. I started out playing roller hockey and joined a travel roller team at the age of 6. At the age of 11 I decided to take on a new challenge and try ice hockey in which I instantly knew this is what I wanted to do for as long as I possibly could. I played for a club team called the California Wave which was a AA team. I played with them for 3 seasons. After the 3 seasons I set a personal goal and wanted to challenge myself and try out for a AAA team. I worked and practiced very hard and was able to achieve my goal this season and joined the Jr. Reign AAA team for this 2021-22 season. Hockey is something that I want to continue doing for as long as I possibly can, and with that playing at the college level would be a big opportunity to transition from playing a kid, to a teen to a future adult. I haven't decided what college or universities I want to apply to, but I do know I would want them to have a hockey team. I feel that my commitment, self goals, and determination would be an asset to any team. I am a team player and don't play for myself. I currently practice 3x a week and still play on a roller hockey team for fun . I am also able to balance my academic workload which include an AP class, and multiple honors classes. I also belong to the AVID program at my high school. I am looking forward to learning, and growing to be a better student and player.
