Being an 18 year old athlete with multiple friends and family members that have played Juniors and higher level hockey, I know what it takes to proceed to the next level. For my high school varsity team we practice 3 days a week on ice and play 2 games over weekends and have personal training/dry land 2 days a week. Along with that I get down to our home basement gym and work my tail off multiple time per week. I've been told my work ethic is high and my attitude towards life is phenomenal.
As a player my vision on the ice and ability to fire a tape to tape pass to my teammates allows us more scoring chances. I love battling in the corners and my back-checking separates me from most hockey players and usually provides more puck possessions for the good guys. I was invited to a couple NAHL tryouts last Spring but decided to stay home my senior year and help our team win the state championship, after just falling short last season. As a Captain for the second year in a row, I am one of the leaders on our team (Ralston Valley Mustangs) and the Center on our top line. My coaches have instilled a lot of responsibility on me to help elevate the play of all my teammates, on and off the ice. I am currently the only four year varsity player/letter earner on our team.
I work hard to accomplish what I strive towards, especially school. My family taught me that nothing comes easy and hard work and accountability wins in life. When I was a sophomore in high school I took a college level course for my social studies class - AP World History so I know what it takes to study and learn something new not familiar to me. I am a leader off the ice as well and a great addition to any group of people - I hang out with kids with a lot of diversity and different interests outside of athletics. I have never failed to put a smile on anybody's face and never have had a grudge held on me. I have friends in and out of school, and never anticipate to stop making some new one's either. I will give my 110% effort towards anything that I have on my plate and will not stop until my plate is empty. Thank you Blane Keller.
