My goal is to play hockey at a Division 1 school. This has been my dream for as long as I can remember. I am a hard working offensive Center and am able to be put out in intense Defensive zone situations. I have been told by coaches and scouts that my skating ability and my ability to see the ice and read the plays before they happen is above average. This helps me be successful in my game play.
I am a good leader, I was an Assistant Captain of my Minor Midget AAA team last season. I was also asked to try out for the Major Midget AAA team as an underage player. Although I did not make the team, I was asked to be an Affiliate player and I gained a lot from the experience of playing with them.
Upon entering high school I applied and was accepted into the Global Sport Academy, which includes two ice times a week as well as sports psychology and Career and Life Management course work . I am working hard to achieve the best marks I can. I frequently attend tutoring sessions with my teachers and the tutors provided by the Global Sport Academy. I am also working one on one with a tutor outside of school hours.
I am half Mexican and as such maintaining ties to my culture is very important. I took Spanish Immersion throughout my Elementary school years and am currently taking Spanish again in high school. Knowing a second language has proven valuable and has expanded my appreciation for other cultures and their traditions.
I have and interest in learning more about business but at this time I am undecided in what my career path will be.
I have an interest in Business
