My name is Michael Cuozzo, and I am a dedicated, hard-working ice hockey goalie. This past May, I graduated from the Salisbury School in Connecticut and am now taking two gap years to play Junior hockey for the Jersey Hitmen on their USPHL Empire team. I am currently 6'1" and 190 Lb. At the conclusion of my sophomore year, I led my High School team in NJ-- West Essex Regional High School-- to a state championship title for the Public "B" division. This was after winning the league and the divisional cup. I was named as one of the five players on the Public "B" All-Tournament Team, was selected for the All-Essex County 2nd Team, and was an honorable mention under the N.J. Power Ranking All Stars. This past year at the Salisbury School My team won the New England Championship. I did not play in the playoffs but was a key player during the regular season winning all games I played. There are few things I take more seriously than my sport and my team. My mission is to be the best goaltender for any team, league, division, or tournament team I play for. I never lose sight of the fact that I am a part of something larger than myself, and I believe this personal credo-- along with my hard work and skill-- was instrumental in helping me to backstop my team to the state championship during my sophomore year. I never give less than 100% to my sport, my team and my coach every day. Remaining dedicated, and staying focused in this way, I know I can be an outstanding goalie beyond my high school career, and a cornerstone asset to any team roster on which I am placed. I am open to attending college anywhere in the country if it is a good fit and will help me to attain my academic and athletic goals.
