Samuel Marquez '24 Recruiting Profile

I only recently decided that I wanted to play college hockey. Nevertheless, I feel that I have something to offer to high level college hockey programs. I'm a two sport athlete, currently playing varsity football for Seymour High School in Seymour, CT. In the winter I will be playing my first season of high school hockey for West Haven High School in West Haven, CT. West Haven High School only recently offered the Co-op opportunity to our town and I am thrilled about the prospect of playing for a competitive high school program. My best qualities as a teammate are my competitive drive, and my team spirit. As a hockey player, I feel that I bring excellent game sense, above average passing, good puck handling and excellent toughness. I also, bring size and strength. Lastly, I feel that I bring a great deal of, as yet, untapped potential. As a student athlete, I am on track to achieve high honors for the first marking period of my junior year, and I anticipate that I will continue my upward academic trajectory.
