On the ice, in the classroom, or at home, three important values I will use to guide me through life are:

1. Dedication:  From mastering reps in practice, completing projects/school tasks, or leading by example at home with my siblings, I will commit to tasks with purpose and execute them with quality.

2. Heart:  No matter the circumstance, I will be laser-focused, intrinsically motivated, excited about success / winning all while working to be resilient toward setbacks and failure. This means digging deep in desperate situations and rising above when circumstances are difficult. I may not be the biggest kid on the ice, but I can assure you, I'm the kid that plays with the biggest heart.

3. Team First:  Phil Jackson once said, “Good teams become great ones when the members trust each other enough to surrender the Me for the We.”  Where would I be without my family, teachers, and team?  These people are the center of my universe and help drive my success as a student, athlete, and individual.  I will understand my role as a leader, share the successes, pick up my teammates during difficult times and always put Team First.
