Hi, my name is Milo Rothenberg, though you probably already know that. For the last nine or ten years, hockey has been my entire life, but not till recently have I realized that it doesn't have to be. I aspire for so much more and will give every ounce of energy to achieve my goals. Know that in college, I intend on making my grades and academics my top priority.
I am quite conscious of my skill set and where my strengths lie. I am very competitive at my level (Varsity High school & AA Club/Travel). Taking this, as well as my academic goals, into account, I believe I would be a perfect match for an ACHA DII or DIII team. I am seeking an academically competitive college with a moderate to competitive hockey program. I want to be able to have stiff competition and enjoy the fun of hockey, without as much commitment or stress on my school and personal life.
Moving on to what I can bring to a team skill wise. I am very short, which is not an easy thing to be in this game. Because of this, I have had to work much harder to improve my game than most others. I mainly focused on my speed when improving my ability. I rely primarily on being fast and quick to make plays. I am efficient at creating open space and flying past my opposers. I am also a very hard worker and a fast learner. I put full effort into everything I do, and I will acknowledge and apply any advice or teachings my coaches or teammates give me.
All in all, I am looking for an academically challenging program where i can continue my hockey career without a great deal of interference on my scholarly objectives. But honestly, I just want a college that wants me.
