Dear Coach,

My name is Thomas Davies, and I’m really excited to apply to be part of your team. I want to share a little about my goals, who I am, and why I think I’d be a great fit for your program.

My Goals
In college, I want to do well both on the ice and in the classroom. I’m planning to study business and hope to give my all to both my team and my academics. Being great at sports and school is really important to me, and I’m ready to work hard at both.

Why I’d Be a Good Fit

Character:

• Leadership: I try to lead by example. Whether it’s cheering on my teammates or helping out in my community, I want to make a positive impact.
• Dedication: I love hockey and give it everything I’ve got, whether it’s at practice or during a game.
• Adaptability: I can play in different positions and handle all kinds of game situations.

• Work Ethic: I believe in consistent practice and pushing myself to get better every day.
• Competitive Spirit: I love competing and use challenges to grow as a player.
• Teamwork: I work well with others and always put the team first.

Academics:

• Commitment: School is just as important to me as hockey, and I work hard to keep my grades up.
• Time Management: I’ve gotten good at balancing school and sports so I can give my best to both.
• Leadership: I’ve also been active in clubs and organizations that help me grow off the ice.

In short, I want to be a strong, all-around student-athlete who contributes to the team and the school. My hard work, character, and love for hockey make me think I’d be a great addition to your program.
