Personal Statement
I am a 6’2” 16 year old right winger out of Toronto. I am in my third year of secondary school with an average grade of 78%. I played on the school’s junior hockey team and lead the team in points. My hockey experience is nine years at the AAA level in the Greater Toronto Hockey League (GTHL). I recently played my first game as an AP for an OJHL Jr A team (Mississauga Chargers)
I was drafted in the 6th round by Erie Otters in the OHL and currently top 7 in the GTHL league total points, fourth in goals. OHL is a dream but school is also an important consideration.
I will consider attending a Division 1 or Division 3 University located in the North, North Eastern, or East coast parts of the United States which offers a good engineering program as well as a competitive hockey program if the right opportunity arises. I am confident that my hockey ability and talent will help me be a significant contributor to the school’s team while I earn my education. Although my ideal career choice is in men’s ice hockey, I will work just as hard at my education as I want to become the best hockey player and student that I can be.
My family heritage is Italian and I was raised Catholic with strong family values. I will always honor and respect the school that I attend along with all of my teachers, coaches, teammates, and fellow students.
