Personal Statement

My personal goal is to obtain a degree in my field of study while playing a sport that I love, hockey. I believe that hockey is a sport that builds character!  Attending a school that has a great hockey program that promotes teamwork and player development is important to me. On the ice, I demonstrate success by dedicating 110% to each game/practice. I show up on time for all games and practice setting an example for the teammates that will surround me.  I am a team player who confidently reads the play and creates chances for my teammates. I have great leadership skills and I can play along-side any player on any line. My speed is one of my greatest assets that allows me to get the goal or assist on penalty kills.  I get players that I play with to get opened up and create space for them to give them the puck opening scoring opportunities. What makes me different from other recruits academically is that I use my knowledge in math to be able to understand and anticipate the play, this allows me to be able to cause turnovers and odd-man rushes.
