Morgan Waddell '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Morgan Waddell and I will be graduating high school in 2024. My objectives right now are to be able to continue my hockey career in university while working towards obtaining a medical degree.

Academically, I am a gold honour roll student at a highly regarded private school in Winnipeg.

Athletically, the Winnipeg Blues of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League hold my rights in that league and I am presently a member of the Interlake Lightning Provincial AAA U18 team, where I am an Assistant Captain for the 2023-2024 season. I have grown quite a bit over the past 12 months and my game continues to evolve. I am the type of player that teammates want to play with because they know they can count on me to do the things I need to do to make the whole line successful. I take pride in my defensive game and try to play a responsible 200 foot game. I strive to be a player that my coach and teammates can rely on in any situation. I have posted three videos. The most current video is of highlights from the first half of the 2023/2024 season. It includes clips of my defensive play, speed, physicality, playmaking and scoring. I also have a video that is comprised of clips from my 2022/2023 season, which was shortened due to a fractured ankle suffered in my junior team's training camp. It showcases my ability to play in all situations in all ends of the ice. My oldest video shows highlights from the MJHL draft prospect showcase in the summer of 2022.
