Personal Statement
I am a 16-year-old ice hockey player from Austria, currently competing in Division One with the BOO J18 team in Sweden. Additionally, I am an International Baccalaureate (IB) student at the International School of the Stockholm Region. The balance of rigorous academics and my passion for hockey has instilled in me a strong sense of discipline, exceptional time management skills, and a relentless commitment to excellence.
My hockey journey started at the age of six in Austria, where I was fortunate to win the U14 national championship with the Vienna Junior Capitals. Seeking greater challenges and growth opportunities, I moved to Sweden and spent two transformative years with SDE. I've been playing in the Swedish league for two years now to bring my game and character to the highest level. This experience has made me faster, more agile, and stronger - both offensively and defensively. Playing in Division One with BOO J18 has further pushed me to elevate my game and adapt to the demands of high-level competition.
I love to work hard and I'm always ready to take responsibility. Communication and team spirit come naturally to me. In Sweden, I learned how to master sporting and academic challenges. Academically, the IB program has equipped me with critical thinking abilities and a global perspective that I seamlessly integrate into my athletic endeavors. My goal is to continue this dual pursuit of academic and athletic excellence by competing in NCAA college hockey at the highest level in the United States.
I am highly motivated, ambitious, and team-oriented, always striving to support my teammates while pushing myself to improve. I am eager to bring my skills, dedication, and positive attitude to an NCAA program and contribute to its success while achieving my academic aspirations.
I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to an NCAA program and pursue my academic goals. Thank you for considering my application..
