I want to go to college to get a good education in my preferred field of study. In addition, I would love to have the opportunity to play hockey, the game I love, at a higher level. When I am finished with college, I want to become a valuable part of the workforce and a contributing member to society.
What makes me stand out as a player is my character. My presence on a team lifts players up, encourages them to work harder, and also brings laughter and fun. I have a can do attitude that coaches love, one that shows 110% commitment. I lead by example by doing the work with heart. Heart is a huge part of how I play. I want to be the player who is willing to take it to the next level for their team by doing what it takes. For example, someone who takes a risk to block a shot, is the type of player I want to be and one I want to play with even if they may not be as skilled as others.
I take pride in academics. They will always come before sports. I want to be able to get a good job and be able to support my family someday. My 3.3 GPA is good, but for the remainder of high school, I will be pushing myself to get it up even higher.
