Scot Rosenthal II '14 Recruiting Profile

My dreams will become a reality when I start my journey at a college where I can challenge my mind, body and spirit. From the first time I set foot on the ice rink, at the age of four, it has been my dream to excel in the sport of ice hockey.   Many practices, hours spent  training, tournaments and games have only reinforced my desire to reach the highest level in collegiate ice hockey.   Making my dream a reality would be playing Division I Hockey and participating in the Frozen Four with the goal of winning the NCAA Championship.  I know it will take hard work on my part and am willing to do whatever is necessary to accomplish this goal.

Being part of a team, as a defense men, has made me a better person.  I've learned from experience and by the mistakes that I have made what it takes to be an outstanding athlete and teammate.  This is a sport where one person does not control the outcome of the game.  It requires that every player be on the same page.  The goal is to enjoy the game, maintain your focus, and go for the win.

Along with ice hockey, it is my dream to find a college that is a good fit. I want to receive an excellent education; learn to grow into a person that is respected and proactive; make long lasting friendships; and, learn other skills which will help me through the process.  These are more goals that I have set for myself.

At this point in my life, I have not finalized where I see myself ten years from now.  Various ideas flow through my mind:  I think of medical school and becoming either a doctor specializing in sports medicine, a scientist discovering the cause of a disease and finding a cure for it.  Also, I excel in mathematics and chemistry which might lead me to become a forensic pharmacologist.

Affirmations have proven to be one of my important tools.  I affirm that I "can", not "can't",  do whatever I must do to accomplish a task or learn something new.   Only by affirming and thinking positively will my life lead me to my chosen goals. 

I am currently attending Bridgton Academy for a Post Graduate year.
