Personal Statement

My name is Tristen Bear, I am considered an easy-going person and get along well with everyone I meet. I am 6’0”, 175 lbs. and my teammates consider me one of the leaders on our team and the past three years and I take that seriously and do my best to lead by example. I would be playing my freshman year in 2024/2025 for Northland College in Ashland, Wisconsin, an NCAA III school.

I have been playing hockey since I was seven years old and have learned that for me to be successful in hockey, I need to continue working on my hockey skills and overall game. Since the age of nine years old, I have spent most of my off-hockey seasons and summer months enrolled in training camps and Junior/College developmental programs as I want to become a better player.  I am currently working with a personal trainer who is helping me to increase my strength, speed, endurance, and work on parts of my game and the skills that I need to improve on.

What makes me different from others is that I am passionate about potentially playing University hockey and always gaining personal development to reach my goals. I am dedicated and always trying to find ways to improve my skills either by working out at home and attending elite development Junior A / College Hockey Camps. In term of education, my goal is to attend US university, play NCAA hockey, and receive a top-notch education for my post-hoc career.
