Personal Statement

Ever since I first stepped onto the ice, hockey has been more than just a sport to me; it has been a way of life and a source of personal growth. As I stand at the threshold of my collegiate journey, I am excited to bring my dedication, skills, and love for the game to college.

Hockey has taught me invaluable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and adaptability. From early morning practices to late-night games, I have honed not only my physical abilities but also my mental toughness. These experiences have instilled in me a profound understanding of the importance of collaboration and the ability to perform under pressure – skills that I am eager to leverage both on and off the ice in a collegiate setting.

I have also learned the importance of versatility. At the varsity level, I have played as a left and right defenseman, as well as both wings and center. Adapting to what is needed to make my team successful.

Off the ice, I am just as committed to excelling in the classroom as I am at the rink. With a rigorous academic schedule, I have cultivated a relentless work ethic – qualities that I believe will not only contribute to my success as a student-athlete but also in my future career.

My aim is to be more than just a player; I want to be a positive influence on my teammates to strive for success in both sports and academics. Assists are just as important as goals, in hockey and in life.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
