I have not always been interested in playing at the college level for hockey. I had realistic expectations of my abilities. It was not until I was able to put in the time and effort my position required. As a young skater, trying out the goalie position, I thought this was easy, my body can fill the mini net and I dont have to work hard. It was not until I was given the opportunity to play on a club team in 2017, that my passion to become better, grew. My love for the game has become stronger with each season.
I have had a fair share of loosing seasons and feeling the brunt of the blame for the loss. Many of those loosing games facing 40-60 SOG. As much as I took it to heart with each loss, it made winning that much more appreciated.
I continue to work on and off the ice. Academics are important to me and my parents. I chose to attend a vocation technical high school for the opportunity to learn a trade along with my academic courses. I have recently switched my shop from engineering to metal fabrication because I love to build and work with my hands. I have excelled in my science course and really like Biology. While I am still undecided about my college major, I am open to biology programs.
I respect my coaches and the officials of the game. I have been told I am a very coachable player. I am a team player and take pride in the success of my teammates.
