2016 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I am very fortunate to have a family that supports my desire to play college hockey while receiving an excellent education.
My parents started bringing me to my older brother's games when I was a baby. I started skating at two and half. I chose to play goalie because I love the challenge of the position.
I have always worked hard at preparing myself both physically and mentally. I consider myself very disciplined and my coaches and teammates would share that I have a very good work ethic both on and off the ice. I think the saying, "you play like you practice" reflects how I approach the game.
I live in a small town that is very community oriented and I have been able to volunteer through my church youth group as well as with mom and dad at nursing homes, and have joined my mom for our therapy dog visits to schools and libraries.
