Dear prospective NCAA Coaches and Recruiters,
My name is Dugan Bradfield, and I am Captain of Fox Motors AAA Midget Minor U16 team out of Byron Center, Michigan. I am a leader on and off the ice. I work hard on academics, and get good grades, especially considering the long, demanding hockey season and offseason. I excelled in other sports, including football, baseball, and lacrosse, but my passion has been hockey all along. I work hard to stay in shape, eat right, and get proper rest. I have been captain of my hockey teams every year except when playing up last year for Fox Motors U16; I learned a lot from our captains last year. My coach says I am the best Captain he has coached and one of the top few players he has had the privilege to coach. I received similar praise from my previous coaches in hockey, football, baseball, and lacrosse. I listen intently to instruction and criticism from my coaches and I work hard to improve my game according to their teaching. I do the same with my academic instructors and stay close with my academic advisor to focus on what is important in my pursuit to be a collegiate athlete. I will strive to develop my physical abilities and enrich my knowledge of the game I love to play. I genuinely believe that my highest priority is continuous learning at a high level in academics and I will continue to work hard in high school to prepare for higher education.
I desire to play NCAA hockey for a program with a history of pride in its hockey program. I want to play for a coaching staff who subscribes to constantly investing in player development--both physically and mentally. Those who have watched me develop say that I am very smart on the ice, physical, and play with nonstop speed and energy. I work hard to help teammates execute our coaches' game plans. Studying game film helps me understand what coaches are looking for, and allows me to collaborate when they ask me for my opinion. Lastly, I strive to be highly competitive without losing my composure and I always behave in a sportsmanlike manner.
Please give me a shot. I will work hard for you and we will win together. I encourage you to contact my current and past coaches:

Dugan R. Bradfield
